Splatterhouse in da house... well you know what I mean

In my last post, I shared my excitement about the TurboGrafx-16 and it staying power within my memory cells and emotion, umm... commotion. Well, there was also one specific game that I remember waiting forever and ever to be released during that same time for the TG-16. Splatterhouse!! I remember looking at the flyer that had two screenshots of it day in and day out. I envisioned it to be the quality of what we are now used to with systems like PS3 and Xbox 360. Foolishly, it wasn't so, but it was still a awesome game for the time... graphics, audio and somewhat the gameplay all led to one thing... blood, guts and a good time.

Today, I ran across the announcement that Splatterhouse will be resurrected in 2009 for, ironically, the PS3 and Xbox 360. How delicious is that?!? I love it when things have a full turn around in life... and this is yet another one.

TurboGrafx-16 invoke emotions in me that I cannot control

TurboGrafx-16 invoke emotions in me that I cannot control to this day!

Danny and I were going somewhere or coming back from something on the bus the other day and I glanced out the window and say vintage video game signs on a new store front near Clark and Belmont Ave, just a few doors down from the infamous Chicago Comics. I told Danny what I saw because he is a mega gamer freak freakazoid boink and I knew that he would apprecaite it. We went to where we were going and made are way back around to this store (Name of the store is People Play Games, web site coming soon). The first thing I saw was a rack of Turbografx-16 games, some still in their original wrapper and a feeling of excitement that I haven't felt since 1991 came over me (just a certain specific type of excitement I'm talking about, ok). It was so surreal to see products that our no longer available in this kind of fashion. Later, after chatting with the owner, I asked if I could take a photo as I am an nalstagic twat. So, that's basically my story I want to share today. There are more details, like me buying Dungeon Explorer because I used to listen to the music from it when I went to sleep with this guy when I was a teenager and that sort of freaky stuff :) But, I won't get into that!

Happy Memorial weekend!

O shit, I am a Leo

After 32 years, I am finally admitting that I am a Leo. I've denied it for too long, I can no longer hide the truth from my sweet, angel like, cheeks. I cannot deny the following at all ::

LEO - The Lion

Great talker. Attractive and passionate. Laid back. Usually happy, but when unhappy tend to be grouchy and childish. A leo's problem becomes everyone's problem. Most Leos are very predictable and tend to be monotonous. Knows how to have fun. Is really good at almost anything. Great kisser. Very predictable. Outgoing. Down to earth. Addictive. Attractive. Loud. Loves being in long relationships. Talkative. Not one to mess with. Rare to find. Good when found.

Meow,
Kev!

... follow up... I don't believe this sentence is all that true after rereading this again ::
Most Leos are very predictable and tend to be monotonous. Overall, I still like this Leo definition better then most.

P.S. You aren't going to heaven!

Soooooo.... yesterday was Bea Arthur's birthday. As always, I get a flood of emails about it... usually about the well known discrepancy in her age... was she born in 1922, 1923 or 1926... I go through this every year (1922, so don't email me). Anyway, I finally received an email that was much more interesting. It starts out with I guess birthday wishes to Bea, but then ends with me not going to heaven. So, I just wanted to spread the love of this letter. I will block their information, because there is no need to get mad at them or anything... I just think its funny :) Ignorance at its best! At least they were polite about it.

[ Nice Big Happy Birthday Graphic ]

May the blessings you share with family and friends be like a savings account, drawing interest on a daily basis. Do you ever see Bill Macy? How's he doing these days? I hope you will visit our blog at http://www.myspace.com/...

P. S. I hear that Gays are not accepted in heaven. It's in the Bible. I don't know what source, what chapter or what verse. You might want to check that out. God bless and stay safe. By the way --- nice website!

Little Fat Man

One of the best moments on tv ... and of course from the UK ... because everything good originates from over there, but that is another blog :)
